ISO 9001 Certification

In the fall of 2022, Viking Wind became ISO 9001 certified. The ISO 9001 standard is used worldwide and deals with quality and effective management and structured dialog with customers, partners and authorities.

Becoming certified within a standard is a company's proof that they comply with the requirements set out in a standard.

The goal is for the company to continuously improve its work processes and ensure that they comply with all the laws and requirements that they are obligated to. The company is also responsible for keeping up to date with the laws that affect them and keeping abreast of all the changes that are coming.

As a customer of Viking Wind, you can expect consistent, structured and competent case management that is fully approved according to all legal requirements - including international standards.

Viking 25

The first Viking small wind turbine was launched in 2009

Viking Wind has large ambitions

Denmark is seen as a world leader in wind turbine technology - also when it comes to small wind turbines. And we want to keep it that way.

Viking 25, the first Viking wind turbine, was launched in 2009. Today, it remains the most thoroughly tested small wind turbine in its class - over the longest period.

The Viking VS is a further development and refinement of its thoroughly tested predecessor, the Viking 25. It has been developed based on innovative thinking, thousands of hours of testing and empirical data. This makes the Viking VS strong, aesthetically pleasing, reliable and highly flexible.

The technical quality is in place. With a life expectancy of at least 20 years, high performance, easily accessible service and oversized/flexible components, all parameters seem to be met.

Our hybrid demo project in Middelfart consists of the following elements: solar, wind and battery. The system can supply 20 to 25 Danish smalls with green energy.

Small wind turbines delivered with high service throughout the process

As we all know, nothing is stronger than the weakest link. Therefore, we are committed to accompanying our wind turbines with a service that spans the entire process from the first non-binding inquiry to the subsequent collaboration once the turbine is in operation.

We strive to provide a personal, transparent and genuine service. Our customers and partners should be met with facts and a willingness to find solutions. And they should feel confident that a deal is a deal.

We have been in the business of small wind turbines for more than 10 years, and we know what we talk about when it comes to small wind turbines. At Viking Wind, many years of accumulated knowledge from the large wind turbine industry is used to guide our customers in the best possible way, to be able to offer our customers a tailor-made solution adapted to their specific needs.

And being pioneers in installing turbines in remote and isolated areas where electricity is scarce has never been an obstacle for us - it's just another challenge that we are happy to meet.

We also require the same high demands on the retailers who act as sales agents. They can all provide highly qualified advice, help with calculations, advise on installation, etc.

Our ultimate goal is to deliver the world's best small wind turbine

Small wind turbines for the world

Viking Wind is on its way to the global market. We have already installed small wind turbines in Argentina, France, Norway and Greenland and are negotiating opportunities in other countries.

In 2013 we moved to new and larger premises. At the same time, we expanded our staff with skilled and experienced employees from the wind industry and increased our capital base.

In 2016, the company changed its name from HSWind to Viking Wind.  This was part of a rebranding process with a larger focus on exports. In other words, we have strengthened Viking Wind so that we are ready for growth and development.
