8th International Conference organized by Nordic Folkecenter for Renewable Energy
28/9/2023
Viking Wind was among the participants when the 8th International Conference for Small and Medium Wind Turbines took place on September 21, 2023, in Hurup, Thy.
It was an exciting day, featuring many engaging presentations, including one from Thywind and Ignacio Cruz's presentation on "Potential Opportunities for Cost Reduction in Mid- and Small-scale Wind Technology Europe".
CEO, Ulrich Høgenhaven, was also on the podium and gave a presentation about the Viking Wind company, our Offgrid project in Argentina and the Viking VS25 turbine.
One of the highlights of a packed program was undoubtedly a presentation from two engineers specialising in sustainable energy, who presented models of blades that could reduce noise while also increasing rotor efficiency. From Viking Wind's point of view, it was a fascinating presentation and something we would like to work more with in the future.
Among the many presentations, Lindsay Sheridan, an Earth Scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the US, also provided a fascinating market analysis of the US market.
All in all, a long but inspiring and rewarding day at the Nordic Folkcenter For Renewable Energy.
The conference continued the next day, where Viking Wind also participated, but only online.
