8th International Conference for Small and Medium Wind Turbines

28/9/2023

Viking Wind was among the participants when the 8th International Conference for Small and Medium Wind Turbines took place on September 21, 2023, in Hurup, Thy.

It was an exciting day, which offered many interesting presentations - including from the Thywind turbine and Ignacio Cruz's presentation on"Potential Opportunities for Cost Reduction in Mid- and Small-scale Wind Technology Europe".
CEO, Ulrich Høgenhaven was also on the podium and gave a presentation about the Viking Wind company, our Offgrid project in Argentina and the Viking VS25 turbine.

One of the highlights of a packed program was undoubtedly a presentation from two engineers specializing in sustainable energy, who presented models of blades that could reduce noise while also increasing rotor efficiency. From Viking Wind's point of view, it was a very interesting presentation and something we would like to work with in the future.

Among the many presentations, there was also a very exciting and interesting market analysis of the US market by Lindsay Sheridan, Earth Scientist, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the US.

All in all, a long but very exciting and rewarding day at the Nordic Folkcenter For Renewable Energy.

The conference continued the next day, where Viking Wind also participated, but only online.
